How Do I Search the Map?

There are 2 ways you can do this. You can simply click on your desired destination on the map, or you can use the search box on the left of the screen to narrow down your choices. On the map, the blue circle indicates the number of listings in the area. Clicking on the circle blows up the map to show where the properties are located. Each red pin is a listing. If you click on the listing heading (the bold heading) you can scroll down to see the listing details, owner contact information, etc.

How Do I Contact the Owner or Manager of the Vacation Rental?

Once you have chosen a property you like, scroll down to the owners contact information. Usually this is an email address or a phone number or maybe both. Our property owners handle their own rental bookings, payments, deposits, etc.

How Do I Know What Dates Are Available, Payment Details, Cancelation Policy, etc.

The owners or agents, who list their properties on this site, manage their own rental properties, including scheduling, bookings, payments, security deposits, etc. It is important that you inquire with each owner about what their individual policies and rules are.

How Do I Pay for a Vacation Rental?

Most payments are made using a check or VISA directly to the property owner. By dealing directly with a property owner, rather than through a third party, you security is maximized.

How Can I Determine if a Vacation Owner is Legitimate?

When you deal directly with the property owner, you have a better chance to determine if they are the type of person you want to rent from. also allows you to post reviews to help fellow travelers make wise decisions about their choice of rental properties.

What if I Don’t Receive a Response to My Inquiry?

Property owners are encouraged to provide a response to rental inquiries within 48 hours. If you don’t receive a prompt response, perhaps you would be better off to look for another property to rent.

What are the Review Guidelines?

Reviews should be written promptly after the stay. They should be as accurate and as honest as possible. Content may address the travelers experience at the rental property or the booking experience. The content should be relevant to the rental property being reviewed. The content of the review should not contain obscene or offensive material and should not violate the law or infringe on anyone’s rights. EV Vacation Homes reserves the right to remove any material contributed to this website that it deems objectionable.

Property Owner FAQ's

How Do I Log Into My Account?

First you need to make sure you have set up your account by clicking on Register in the upper right corner of the home screen and filling out the simple form with your name and email address. You can then log into your account to add or edit your listing.

How Long Does It Take Before My Listing is Posted to the Site?

EV Vacation Homes will review and approve your listing prior to posting it on the site. This normally takes less than 48 hours after you submit your listing.

How Do I Set Up My Listing?

After you have registered and logged into the site, clicking on your user name allows you to view your profile, submit listings, view your existing listings and favorites, or read reviews. To submit a new listing, fill out the “submit listing” form, upload your pictures (12 maximum), click on the box to indicate that you agree to the terms and conditions and click the submit listing button at the bottom of the form.

How Do I Get Bookings Through

All rental bookings, scheduling, rent, deposits, etc. are made directly with you, the property owner, or your agent. The role of EV Vacation Homes is to provide a place for EV owners to contact like-minded vacation property owners. It is important that property owners include good contact information in your listing, such as e-mail addresses or phone numbers, so that prospective renters can contact you.

How Can I Be Sure That Prospective Renters Are Legitimate?

EV Vacation Homes operates similar to any other advertisement you may make to attract prospective renters of your property. By dealing with renters directly you have a better chance to determine whether or not they are the type of person you may want to rent to.
